About Our Founder & Mission
Divinity Wellness Center, Divinity of Love, was formed by our visionary Dexteria Jenkins(Nurse Dee). She is a native of Winston-Salem, Salem, North Carolina. A Registered Nurse for 17 years, serving in multiple areas of practice. She is the proud mother of 2 children and one grandchild. She has dedicated her life to making sure others know they are loved. She has had the opportunity to care for family, friends, and the community during her life’s journey.
Dexteria was given the vision to start a community wellness center that will provide healthcare to the uninsured, low-income, or those with limited transportation. She was also led to transform her great uncle’s home into a shelter for homeless women with children and required temporary housing to prevent separation. During their stay, they receive resources to assist them with getting to the next level in their life. She has sacrificed and worked multiple jobs to offer help where it is needed.
Divinity Wellness team of dedicated healthcare professionals with over 25 years of experience in community nursing, education, medication management, medication administration, and patient advocacy promoting health, educating, and empowering the community focuses on the entire person’s mind, body, & soul. This is a no-judgment zone. We are here to Promote, Protect, and Prevent.
